Job Description
As a Security Officer - Lobby Access in Watsonville CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location where you will manage access control greet staff and visitors verify credentials and guide people to the right areas while supporting a positive experience. You will stay visible conduct routine rounds as assigned document activity and communicate clearly with the care team to help reduce security-related incidents. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Control access at assigned entrances by verifying identification issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials and directing patients visitors vendors and staff according to facility guidelines.
- Monitor access points alarms and/or CCTV as assigned; document unusual activity and report concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; assist with de-escalation and coordinate with clinical staff and local responders when requested.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas including exterior perimeter and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; complete required reports and shift logs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 years of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
