Corewell Health Farmington Hills opened on Jan. 19 1965 as a 200-bed facility known then as Botsford General Hospital. Today Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status.

Scope of Work

Under the direction of the site designated leader assigns and monitors the work of the Ultra sonographers to optimize quality and efficiency. Acts as a resource for ultrasound staff/department. Performs diagnostic ultrasounds and other related duties to ensure department policies and imaging standards are met. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

This is a Cardiac Ultrasound position; only RDCS ACS or RCS credentials are required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years clinical experience Ultrasound staff sonographer level preferred.
  • Registered by American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • RDCS or CCI (no exemption accepted must pass both parts of exam) status is required by department.
  • Must be registered in at least one (ABD or OB/GYN) at time of hire.
  • Additional registry within 1 year from hire.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association and/or the American Red Cross.
