Who We Are:
Heritage Park is Canadas largest living history museumand offers visitors a chance to experience life in Western Canada from the1860s to the early 1950s. The park features historical buildings costumedinterpreters working antiques and various exhibits that provide insight intothe regions past.
Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Sales Manager this position will be responsible for conducting site tours for potential clients assisting with day-to-day operations of the Catered Event & Sales office and providing support to the Banquet Services department as required.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
- Respond promptly and professionally to client telephone and email inquiries ensuring efficient communication and addressing their needs effectively
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of Heritage Park guidelines and policies and communicates them accurately to clients
- Conduct venue site tours as assigned sharing information on offerings and providing an excellent client experience
- Support department operations by completing office administrative duties such as filing invoicing assisting with event payment collection data collection for specialized reports attending weekly Event Planning meetings and recording minutes
- Contribute to Catered event operations by conducting photo escorts performing office administration for the banquets team and other tasks as assigned
- Collaborate with other departments to promote sales and marketing initiatives where appropriate
- Represent the Sales and Catering team at trade shows and community events
- Proactively promotes the Parks diverse business streams to maximize revenue opportunities
- Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum secondary school education is required. Post-Secondary Education in Hospitality and Tourism would be an asset
- Minimum 6 months experience in a customer service role
- 6 months prior experience in an administrative role would be an asset
- A valid Albertas Drivers License is required
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite of applications
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills in a client-faced setting
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Special Clothing and Equipment:
- Business casual attire is required when working in the office ensuring a professional and presentable appearance
Special Working Conditions:
- The position will be exposed to weather extremes and will work both indoors and outdoors; and
- This position requires extended periods of walking and standing on an intermittent basis
Hours of Work:
- The standard hours for this position are 35 hours per week;
- The schedule will generally be five consecutive days per week (Tuesday to Saturday 8:30am to 4:30pm) and
- Occasional holiday evening and weekend work may be required
