Job Summary
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking an accomplished academic leader as Chair of Ambulatory Care to provide strategic vision oversee clinical operations and foster research/education excellence.
We are seeking a highly motivated physician interested in working with an urban ethnically diverse underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City New Jersey and Long Island.
Responsibilities
- Driving patient volume ensuring high-quality care and mentoring faculty/medical residents/medical students reporting directly to the Senior Associate Dean/Chief Medical Officer
- Responsible for developing and implementing departmental goals policies and budgetary management
- Enhance subspecialty access and improve quality metrics; advance research output and mentor staff; and oversee all operations and services for the department
Qualifications
- MD/DO degree
- Board certified in Internal Medicine
- Valid New York State License DEA and Medicaid number
- Demonstrated administrative and leadership experience with a minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical/academic setting
Compensation
We offer a faculty appointment with the Icahn School of Medical at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials experience and qualifications. We also offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package including CME. It is base compensation for this role plus faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
Compensation range from375K to 375K(not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
