What Youll Do (Job Responsibilities)
As a Service Dispatcher you play a key role in keeping our service department running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include:
- Assign and dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill level availability and workload
- Monitor workflow in the service department to ensure timely completion of jobs
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and technicians to manage priorities and expectations
- Maintain an organized dispatch system to maximize shop productivity and efficiency
- Track progress of vehicles and update service staff on job status
- Reassign work as needed to meet deadlines and customer expectations
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts and workflow challenges
- Ensure proper documentation and accuracy of repair orders
- Support the service team in delivering an exceptional customer experience
