Job Summary
Project the aim youll have
Join a cloud operations engagement. The project focuses on operating and optimizing a large-scale Google Cloud Platform environment.
Position how youll contribute
- Manage and support GCP infrastructure including Compute Engine GKE Cloud Functions Cloud Storage BigQuery and VPC
- Respond to and resolve incidents within defined SLA targets; perform triage diagnosis and remediation
- Execute approved changes including provisioning scaling patching and deployments
- Develop and maintain Terraform modules and IaC templates for GCP resources
- Configure and optimize monitoring alerting and dashboards using GCP Operations Suite and Datadog
- Perform cloud cost optimization analysis and implement recommendations (committed use discounts rightsizing scheduling)
- Maintain and update runbooks SOPs and knowledge base articles
- Participate in shift handoff meetings and ensure clean knowledge transfer between regions
- Support CI/CD pipeline operations and deployment automation
Qualifications :
Expectations the experience you need
- 5 years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with 3 years on Google Cloud Platform
- Strong knowledge of GCP core services: Compute Engine GKE Cloud Functions Cloud Storage BigQuery VPC IAM Cloud SQL Pub/Sub
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (GCP provider)
- Kubernetes administration and troubleshooting skills (GKE preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python Bash or Go
- Solid understanding of networking: VPC design firewall rules load balancing Cloud NAT Cloud DNS
- Experience with monitoring tools: GCP Operations Suite (Cloud Monitoring Cloud Logging) Datadog or Prometheus/Grafana
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools: Cloud Build Jenkins GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
- Understanding of GCP IAM security best practices and organizational policies
Additional skills the edge you have
- GCP Professional Cloud Engineer or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification
- Experience with BigQuery data engineering or Cloud Dataflow
- Knowledge of Anthos for hybrid/multi-cloud scenarios
- Experience with GCP billing APIs and cost management tools
- ITIL Foundation certification
