Job Summary

The Procurement Intern will support the procurement team in sourcing purchasing and vendor management activities. This role provides hands-on experience in supply chain operations supplier coordination cost analysis and administrative procurement functions. The intern will gain practical exposure to procurement systems and processes while contributing to day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track order status and follow up with vendors on deliveries.
  • Coordinate with internal team (engineering project managers procurement site supervisors and shipping) and ensure order deliveries on time
  • Compare actual progress vs planned delivery dates identify risks early and push for corrective actions help prevent project delays due to late material arrival.
  • Regularly follow up with supplier on production progress shipping dates and potential delays
  • Act as the main point of contact between the company and vendors build vendor relationships to improve responsiveness and reliability and escalate issues when suppliers fall behind schedule
  • Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders.
  • Support supplier research vendor comparisons and quotation analysis.
  • Help maintain supplier databases and procurement records.
  • Assist in preparing procurement reports and cost analysis.
  • Support contract documentation and filing.
  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding purchasing needs.
  • Help ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Perform general administrative tasks related to procurement operations.

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

The posted hourly rate reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. 


Qualifications :

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Finance Economics or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain processes.
