Mammography Technologist–Certification Pending, Full-time Day Shifts, 5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Sign-On Bonus:

• We are extending a $5000 sign-on bonus to full-time external Mammography Technologists hired at Northwestern Memorial Hospital! This bonus is payable in one installment following the new employees start date and has 12-month repayment terms associated. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing digital mammography exams on patients under the supervision of a certified mammography technologist.        
• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process including screening preparation monitoring and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Applies professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Identifies equipment performance issues and initiates follow-up through established service processes.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Assist with patient positioning lifting and transport to and from imaging areas as needed
•  Adheres to the Mammography Training Clinical Competency curriculum provided by NM.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system including exam set-up image routing result availability and charging accuracy.
• Adheres to organizational values ethical standards and compliance requirements
•  Completed an accredited didactic training program that follows MQSA and ACR requirements for Mammography.
• -Completes Mammography Registry exam within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications :

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography (M) within one year of hire
• Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
