About the Team:
Lambeth Libraries are delivered across 10 branches in Lambeth and have a dedicated team of staff. A core part of the work we do is making sure our books and the many events we run meet the needs and interests of our community. We encourage staff to look for best practice nationally and internationally to improve our service. Library use in Lambeth has continued to grow and satisfaction rates with the service are high with 93% of library users rating the service as good or very good and a 94% rating for customer service. Our success is down to our staff and the partnerships we have built with the local community. Our Libraries have been awarded Library of Sanctuary status and are also Safe 2025 and 2026 we were Finalists in the Library of the Year award.
About the Role:
We are looking to recruit a manager for one of our busiest libraries. You will be leading a customer-facing team and inspiring them by example. You will be confident in delivering an excellent service to promote reading providing library users with a reliable information service and running a full programme of events and activities. You will be skilled in building community partnerships and have innovative ideas for income generation.
