Job Summary

The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to selectstudents with high potential and provide them with real world work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the companys products processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilateacquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical addition Nexteer Automotive gains theopportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity while providing students exposure to full-time career opportunities.

The intern will assist in the development and integration of API-driven solutions within the Microsoft Azure environment. The project focuses on building and maintaining APIs using Core or Python to support manufacturing and business operations. Tasks include:

  • Developing APIs and microservices to handle manufacturing data processing.
  • Leveraging Azure cloud services to deploy and scale applications.
  • Collaborating on integrating LLM features for basic query and data interaction use cases.
  • Providing documentation and testing for the APIs and deployed solutions.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors in Computer Science or related degree
  • Must have cumulative 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale
  • Candidate must be able to work onsite in Saginaw MI.

Special Skills Preferred:

  • Experience Core (C#) or Python for web or API development.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and microservice architecture.
  • Knowledge about containerization(dockers)
  • Understanding of cloud technologies particularlyMicrosoft Azureservices (e.g. Azure Functions Azure DevOps).
  • General awareness ofLarge Language Models (LLMs)and their application.
  • General understanding of manufacturing concepts includingBill of Materials (BOMs)and data processing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
