WhatWill you do
- Case Management & Compliance: Lead the IEP process from evaluation to implementation. Youll manage student records with precision ensuring all services align with state/federal laws and district policies.
- Instructional Leadership: Provide direct research-based instruction (academic and SEL) in 1:1 or group settings. Youll model differentiated instruction and modify classroom materials to ensure every student can access the curriculum.
- Expert Assessment: Administer and interpret a variety of evaluationsfrom standardized tests to behavioral observationsto track progress and determine eligibility.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with classroom teachers specialists and families to create a unified support system. You will also direct the daily work of paraeducators to maximize student impact.
- Behavioral Support: Develop and monitor proactive behavior management and crisis intervention plans that prioritize a safe respectful and inclusive learning environment.
- Community & Advocacy: Serve as a champion for your students within the school and broader community participating in district committees and school events to drive program excellence.

- Hold or be eligible for a Vermont Educator License with an appropriate Special Education endorsement.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to equity diversity and inclusion in education.

- Have experience and knowledge in structured literacy and the science of reading. Create a safe respectful and engaging learning environment tailored to students individual learning styles.
