As part of our global team youll have the opportunity to direct the operations and resources of a large global team by leading and managing part of language services. As an Associate Director Language Services youll focus on optimizing performance processes behaviors and decision-making to achieve departmental business goals and objectives.
What Youll Do:
Provides direction and leadership with subject matter expertise and manages the development and deployment of solutions that achieve business needs and objectives.
Directs and manages team by overseeing work assignments staff development resource planning and accountability and performance management.
Executes leadership management empowerment and delegates techniques that attain high performance and delivery for managers team(s) and all participants.
Directs the delivery of solutions in a collaborative cross functional global environment.
Acts as a liaison between the team and business leadership. Provides progressive updates and aligns the team with the overall business objectives of the department and company.
Assists in the annual budgeting process.
Interprets administers trains and coaches compliance with policies processes and procedures for the team.
Contributes to the development of department strategy implementation and operations.
Manages staff which may include interviewing and selection job description preparation professional development goal setting performance management coaching and mentoring employee counseling and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration hiring corrective action and terminations. Reviews and approves time records expense reports requests for leave and overtime
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 10 years).
5 years of management responsibility
Proven leadership skills
In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
8 years of localization management experience preferably in life sciences.
Excellent leadership ability and skills to include leading organizational change
Effective organizational and analytical skills to routinely achieve effective resolution of complex issues
Advanced ability to understand individual staff and manager capabilities and to assign work appropriately
Demonstrated executive presence and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Client-focused solutions-oriented approach to achieve mutually beneficial business results
Advanced judgment and decision making skills
Comprehensive financial acumen including budgeting forecasting and resource management
Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills
Working Conditions and Environment:
Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
Occasional drives to site locations frequent travels both domestic and international.
