Administrative Specialist Elkhart IN
This opening with our clients sales and distribution office is a full-time position with hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. This opportunity is intended to be filled on a temp-to-hire basis offering the chance to join a small business team where you can take ownership of a variety of responsibilities and grow into the role.
The position is designed for someone with a strong administrative background who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day flow of business operations. Youll play a key role in supporting sales functions maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth coordination between departments.
Job Duties:
Managing sales order entry confirmations and order tracking
Preparing billing and invoicing documentation
Handling accounts receivable activities and monitoring outstanding balances
Maintaining and updating customer records within company systems
Coordinating with sales warehouse logistics and finance teams to support order fulfillment and resolve issues
Generating reports to support business operations
Ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
Its a match for someone who brings previous administrative experience and has an interest or background in supply chain accounting or a related field. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers systems and processes while also supporting customer relationships and internal teams. Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system is strongly preferred along with advanced comfort in Microsoft Excel and the ability to work within Mac-based systems.
Requirements:
Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel and business systems
Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
