Job Summary
A high-performing and Ofsted Outstanding secondary school in Huddersfield is seeking an exceptional and inspiring Head of Music to lead its successful Performing Arts department from September. The Role
The school is looking for a dynamic and creative Head of Music who can lead with vision and enthusiasm while maintaining excellent classroom practice.
Responsibilities of the Head of Music include:
Leading and developing the Music department across KS3KS5
Delivering high-quality lessons across performance composition and music theory
Driving curriculum innovation and maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
Leading concerts ensembles and whole-school performances
Managing departmental resources and supporting colleagues

Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification

Have excellent organisational and communication skills
