About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping pupils develop practical skills theoretical understanding and creative confidence. You will plan and deliver lessons that inspire innovation while preparing pupils for GCSE assessments and examinations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils development in practical theoretical and creative aspects of the subject

• Preparing pupils for GCSE examinations and assessments

• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback

• Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment

• Supporting departmental curriculum development and enrichment activities

• Participating in extracurricular clubs competitions and events

• Contributing to school initiatives and whole-school development

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have excellent subject knowledge in Design Technology

• Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

• Be able to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities

• Work effectively within a collaborative department

• Be committed to professional development and continuous improvement
