About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 delivering engaging lessons that build confidence and mathematical understanding. There may also be opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience and subject specialism. You will play a key role in helping pupils develop problem-solving skills and apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Supporting pupils in developing strong numeracy and problem-solving skills

• Preparing pupils for GCSE Mathematics examinations

• Monitoring pupil progress and providing clear constructive feedback

• Supporting targeted interventions for pupils who require additional support

• Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development

• Encouraging positive attitudes towards mathematics

• Creating a safe inclusive and focused learning environment

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

• Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills

• Be able to motivate pupils and build confidence in mathematics

• Work effectively as part of a supportive department

• Be committed to professional development and maintaining high standards
