About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 delivering engaging lessons that build confidence and mathematical understanding. There may also be opportunities to contribute to Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience and subject specialism. You will play a key role in helping pupils develop problem-solving skills and apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Supporting pupils in developing strong numeracy and problem-solving skills
Preparing pupils for GCSE Mathematics examinations
Monitoring pupil progress and providing clear constructive feedback
Supporting targeted interventions for pupils who require additional support
Contributing to departmental planning and curriculum development
Encouraging positive attitudes towards mathematics
Creating a safe inclusive and focused learning environment
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4
Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
Be able to motivate pupils and build confidence in mathematics
Work effectively as part of a supportive department
Be committed to professional development and maintaining high standards
