About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Supporting pupils speaking listening reading and writing skills

  • Preparing pupils for GCSE French examinations

  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing structured feedback

  • Supporting enrichment opportunities such as language clubs

  • Contributing to curriculum planning within the MFL department

  • Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Encouraging enthusiasm for languages and cultural learning

Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have strong subject knowledge in French

  • Be confident teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

  • Be able to inspire enthusiasm for languages

  • Work effectively as part of a collaborative department

  • Be committed to ongoing professional development
