Laboratory & Quality Manager (Rheumatology)

Vall dHebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and undertakes innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall dHebron. VHIR is focused on finding solutions to the health problems of citizens and aims to contribute to scientific educational social and economic development within its specialist fields around the world

VHIR is seeking an experienced Laboratory & Quality Manager within the Rheumatology Research Group.

Main responsibilities and duties:

Education and qualifications:

Required:

• PhD in Biomedical Sciences Biotechnology Life Sciences or a related field

• Advanced training in quality management systems biobanking or research governance will be considered an asset

• Strong command of written and spoken English Catalan and Spanish

Experience and knowledge:

Required:

• Minimum of 18 years of professional experience in biomedical research and biobanking.

• Proven experience in the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems within a biomedical research environment.

• Solid understanding of ethical and regulatory frameworks governing biomedical research and biobanking.

• Proven experience interacting with Research Ethics Committees (CEIm) or equivalent bodies.

• Experience preparing scientific documentation reports and research project proposals.
