Were looking for a driven and capable Major Works Coordinator Water to lead the delivery of our major capital works program and shape the future of water services across our region.
The role
Reporting to the Manager Water Project Delivery youll lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering large-scale water and sewer capital projects safely on time within budget and to the highest standards.
This is more than project management. Its strategic leadership stakeholder engagement contract oversight and driving continuous improvement all while ensuring our infrastructure is constructible sustainable and future-ready.
What youll be doing
What youll bring
Youre a qualified engineer (or bring significant equivalent experience) with a strong track record delivering complex water and sewer infrastructure projects. Youve successfully managed large capital works programs including overseeing design and construction contracts and you understand the legislative and engineering standards that guide the industry.
Most importantly youre a capable leader who can inspire and develop a team influence stakeholders manage competing priorities and drive projects through to successful completion.

Salary:Commencing salary to be negotiated with successful candidate based on skills and experience within salary system range circa $119620 - $143500 p.a. plus superannuation.
A vehicle arrangement will be made with the successful candidate for this role. Council will provide you with a leaseback vehicle for an annual fee calculated as 20% of the gross purchase price. This is a fully maintained vehicle for both business and full private use with no additional expenses in normal use.
A civil liability allowance of 3.5% applies to this position.
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent Full Time (35 hrs. per week)
