What you will be doing in this role
In this role you willbe reportingintothe Nursing Unit Manager(NUM)andprovidinghigh-quality nursing care in a hybridoperatingenvironment supporting both open vascular surgeries and minimally invasive endovascular procedures. This is an exciting permanent opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced technology and will provide direct patient care before during and after vascular procedures whileassistingphysicians in hybrid vascular and endovascular interventions. You willmonitorpatient status including vital signs and procedural outcomes and ensure a safe sterile environment ismaintainedwithin the hybrid operating room.
Responsibilities also includeassisting in both open vascular and endovascular procedures (e.g. angiograms stenting EVAR AAA) by performing scrub and/or scout rolespreparingand managing specialised instruments wires catheters and grafts whilemaintainingstrict aseptic technique throughout.
Whowerelooking for
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- 2 yearsdemonstratedexperience withinHybrid Vascular environment
- Flexibility to work across a range of shifts including morningafternoonsand evenings (no night shifts)
- The ability toparticipatein theon-callroster as needed
- A team player that is comfortable working in afast-pacedenvironment
- The ability to use your initiative and critical problem-solving skills
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Full Australian working rights
