Coordinate and operationalize data governance for NJSLEDS and related systems. Own governance workflows issue/change logs metadata and documentation and compliance (FERPA/PPRA/COPPA). Facilitate committees support program offices and produce clear reporting for leadership.
The Data Governance Analyst supports the Office of Data Management by running day-to-day governance operations for NJSLEDS. The role administers formal processes (data requests access critical data issues reporting and calendar changes) maintains decision/issue logs and documentation and ensures compliance with FERPA/PPRA/COPPA and State OIT security policies. The analyst facilitates Data Stewards and DMC meetings(agendas quorum voting minutes) coordinates with program offices IT vendors and districts and partners with OCM on training and communications. The role monitors governance KPIs (issue resolution modification outcomes participation) and recommends improvements that enhance data quality transparency and timely statewide reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Run governance workflows; track and resolve critical data issues and change requests
- Maintain decision logs SOPs forms and documentation in SharePoint
- Facilitate Data Stewards/DMC: agendas minutes votes follow-ups
- Validate policy and compliance alignment; coordinate with Legal/OIT security
- Partner with IT for tested documented communicated releases
- Produce leadership summaries/KPIs; recommend process improvements
- Support training and stakeholder communications with OCM
