Job Summary

AWS Infrastructure Architect

Franklin Lakes NJ 07405 (Onsite)

Contract

We are looking for a hands-on AWS Infrastructure Architect to lead the end-to-end delivery implementation and operationalization of AWS Cloud environments for enterprise clients.
This onsite role will be responsible for translating approved architectures into production-ready solutions ensuring reliability security and adherence to SLAs

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

Design and implement highly available scalable and secure AWS infrastructure solutions
Lead cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift re-platforming modernization)

Infrastructure & Operations

Build and manage core AWS services including:
Compute (EC2 Auto Scaling Lambda)
Storage (S3 EBS EFS)
Networking (VPC Transit Gateway Route 53 Direct Connect)
Design disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies
Optimize performance reliability and cost (FinOps alignment)

Security & Compliance

Implement AWS security best practices (IAM KMS Shield WAF GuardDuty)
Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and regulatory requirements
Conduct architecture reviews and risk assessments

Automation & DevOps

Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
Integrate CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
Promote DevOps best practices and SRE principles

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

Deep expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Strong knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework
Experience with networking concepts (DNS VPN load balancing firewalls)
Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform CloudFormation)
Familiarity with containerization (Docker Kubernetes EKS)
Monitoring & logging tools (CloudWatch Prometheus ELK stack)

Delivery Experience Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate:
Experience leading production cloud deployments not just design or advisory roles
Ownership of end-to-end delivery lifecycle:
Build Test Cutover Stabilization Handover
Experience operating within:
ITIL processes
Change incident and problem management workflows

Certifications (Preferred)

AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional

Experience

10 years in IT infrastructure with at least 5 years in AWS architecture
Proven experience in large-scale enterprise cloud transformations
Experience working in regulated industries (finance healthcare etc.) is a plus
