About the Role

You will work across both Anaesthetics and Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) delivering safe high-quality care within a collaborative multidisciplinary team. This role offers excellent opportunities to develop advanced perioperative skills in a supportive and progressive environment. Applicants with experience in either Anaesthetics or Recovery are encouraged to apply.

However a willingness to learn upskill and transition across both areas is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and effective nursing care during the perioperative phase including both anaesthetic and recovery areas
• Prepare and check anaesthetic equipment medications and monitoring systems prior to procedures
• Assist the Anaesthetist during induction maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and in the immediate post-operative phase ensuring early recognition and management of complications
• Deliver comprehensive post-anaesthetic care including airway management haemodynamic monitoring and pain control
• Administer medications safely in accordance with hospital policies and best practice guidelines
• Ensure accurate timely and compliant clinical documentation
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control WHS and patient safety standards
• Participate in effective communication and clinical handover processes
• Support patient flow within theatre and recovery to ensure efficiency and quality outcomes

What youll bring:

Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency

Minimum 12 years experience in Anaesthetics and/or PACU (desirable)

Demonstrated clinical competence and commitment to patient safety

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Remuneration

On offer is a competitive base hourly salary under the NSW Ramsay Health Care Nurses & Midwives Enterprise Agreement 2025 dependant on experience level and qualifications exclusive of penalties or allowances.
