Kents Environment Team welcomes expressions of interest from experienced environmental professionals who are working on a freelance/contracting basis in the UK to support the teams growth and workload. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and support the sustainable energy transition.
We welcome interest from UK-based environmentalists who specialise in supporting projects at the decommissioning phase across onshore and offshore projects. We are particularly interested in hearing from professionals with skills and experience in:
- Oil and gas sector decommissioning;
- Decommissioning plans derogations and comparative assessments;
- Offshore / marine works consenting;
- Environmental permitting;
- Environmental engineering including delivering ENVIDs and BAT studies;
- Offshore international experience would be an added benefit.
At this stage we are open to hearing from environmentalists interested in working in a staff role or on a contract basis. Please specify the basis you are interested in as part of your application.
Key Requirements:
The deliverables and services required will vary depending on the project and scope required. However at a broad basis the following will be required:
- Coordinating and undertaking environmental assessments and appraisals
- Report writing to a high standard for both internal and external audiences
- Close liaison with internal and external project stakeholders
- Management of and/or input to Project Management documents
