Job Summary

Summary of the role: The Platform Associate provides transactional and analytical support for the platform administration function. The role supports invoice booking calculation maintenance in Excel and data input into Sage Intacct and Yooz. This is a hands-on role for someone eager to develop expertise in accounting processes and operations as well as the asset management industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in reviewing coding and submitting supplier invoices for approval within Yooz ensuring correct allocation to funds and platform cost categories.
  • Maintain master data related to fund platform fees allocation keys and suppliers.
  • Support the Platform Accountant with preparation of platform fund invoices by populating calculations gathering backup and reconciling prior period data.
  • Input platform-related journals into Sage Intacct based on prepared calculations ensuring all supporting documentation is attached.
  • Update Excel-based models for cost allocations including AUM-based calculations tiered fee splits or bespoke arrangements.
  • Perform data entry and quality checks on supplier invoice uploads and journal postings.
  • Maintain tracker of outstanding invoices supplier payments and fund billing milestones.
  • Support investigation and resolution of invoice or allocation queries from RTR or onshore teams.
  • Assist in documentation of processes and training materials for platform accounting.
  • Prepare internal reports and help collate materials for month-end packs or audit requests.
  • Take ownership of small process improvement initiatives under the guidance of Platform Accountant



EDUCATION

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  • Partially Qualified Accountant - CA/CPA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent qualification.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 year of relevant financial experience.
  • Understanding of fund structures operations and investment management fees.
  • Experience with ERP (Sage Intacct) and AP automation tools (Yooz a plus) helpful.
  • Knowledge of working in a regulated industry (e.g. financial services asset management).

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Familiarity with AP automation tools and accounting software preferred.
  • Good Excel proficiency (lookup functions pivot tables).
  • Keen eye for detail and willingness to learn fund structures and accounting processes.
