With the launch of its outpatient clinic HeartSOS The Hope Source is committed to providing innovative person-centered services that empower individuals to achieve their therapeutic goals. Our HeartSOS Waiver Program integrates natural environment behavior guidance relationship strengthening and trauma-responsive techniques to support social emotional and cognitive development. We emphasize a dynamic methodology that prioritizes trust-building co-regulation and intrinsic motivation rather than traditional compliance-centered training.


Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Behavior Consultant to join our this role you will work closely with clients to implement evidence-based strategies that enhance socially significant behaviors and address challenges impacting their quality of life. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team that provides comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of each client. This position offers paid training and free supervision for those with clinical aspirations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Natural Environment Behavior Guidance: Implement behavior guidance strategies in natural settings to promote meaningful and sustainable progress.
  • Relationship Strengthening: Foster strong trusting relationships with clients through co-regulation and guided participation.
  • Regulation & Emotional Control: Apply trauma-responsive techniques to help clients develop self-regulation and emotional control.
  • Evidence-Based Strategies: Utilize core ABA principles to enhance socially significant behaviors and address those that impede quality of life.
  • Neurodevelopmental Focus: Support social emotional and cognitive development by targeting specific DSM-5 criteria.
  • Person-Centered Progress: Collaborate with clients to identify areas of greatest impact and prioritize their self-advocacy and personal goals.
  • Comprehensive Support: Provide holistic support systems to address co-occurring conditions such as PTSD and ASD ensuring inclusive care.





Requirements



  • Masters degree in Psychology Applied Behavior Analysis Social Work Special Education or a related field is required
  • BCBA LCSW LMHC or equivalent certification preferred (or working towards)
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based ABA strategies and neurodevelopmental approaches
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Commitment to upholding high ethical and professional standards
  • Passion for supporting clients through dynamic and person-centered approaches

Required Skills:

Preferred Qualifications Interest in ABA Psychology Special Education or related fields. Willingness to learn and engage in hands-on training. Experience working with children or individuals with Autism preferred No prior ABA experience required Essential Physical & Functional Requirements Ability to sit stand walk squat bend kneel and move with clients for extended periods Ability to lift carry push and or pull at least 40 pounds. Comfortable providing personal care support including potty training diaper changing (children and adults) and toileting assistance Applicants must be able to: Work with all the ages we serve (5-22) Maintain consistent full-time attendance Commit to a MondayFriday schedule from 8:15 a.m.4:15 p.m. Successfully complete a criminal background check in compliance with Department of Child Services (DCS) and other agencies. Obtain and maintain Medicaid credentialing for ABA services including fingerprinting and background clearance
