As a Locum Gastroenterologist you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders collaborating closely with other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient management. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
  • Diagnose and manage a variety of gastrointestinal disorders
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
  • Provide patient education on health management and disease prevention
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Iowa
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Schedule: 8a-5p 2 days per week

Setting: Outpatient and inpatient

Duties: Evaluations followups consults and procedures

Full range of colonoscopy and EGD procedures including biopsies polypectomies snare removals ablations variceal banding and control of bleeding

Any active unrestricted U.S. medical license accepted

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
