The Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is seeking an Audit Coordinator to play a key role in supporting the delivery of DCCEEWs internal audit program.

Working closely with the Manager Audit and internal audit team youll help ensure audit recommendations are tracked reported and followed through supporting strong governance transparency and accountability across the Department.

This is a handson coordination role that blendsaudit administration reporting stakeholder engagement and systems support.

What youll be doing

In this role you will:

  • Maintain the internal audit register by accurately recording recommendations from internal and external audit reports
  • Proactively monitor track and follow up the status of audit recommendations with business units across the Department
  • Prepare quarterly reports for the Audit and Risk Committee Quarterly Governance reporting and deepdive reviews
  • Support the Internal Audit Quality Assurance and Improvement Program including internal assessments and preparation for external reviews
  • Maintain audit files and records in accordance with NSW Government recordkeeping requirements
  • Assist with procurement activities including raising purchase orders and maintaining contract documentation
  • Support budget monitoring and provide general administrative assistance to the Audit Manager and internal audit team

About you

Youre organised detailfocused and comfortable working in a fastpaced hightrust environment. Youre confident following up actions juggling competing priorities and producing clear accurate reports that support decisionmaking.

Youll bring:

  • Experience inaudit compliance governance or a similar coordination/administrative role
  • Demonstrated experiencemaintaining registers and tracking actions(experience with audit management systems such asTeammateis desirable)
  • Strongcommunication and stakeholder engagement skills with confidence liaising across diverse business areas
  • Advanced capability withMicrosoft Office(Excel Word PowerPoint SharePoint) plus experience developing dashboards or reports usingPower BIor similar tools
  • Experience withprocurement processes including raising purchase orders and managing contract documentation
