Job Summary

The Sleep and Brain Health Laboratory at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre () is seeking two intellectually rigorous and scientifically curious casual research assistants in software development to assist in creating and maintain code applying contemporary signal processing and machine learning approaches to analyze large-scale (1000s of recordings) human physiological time series (accelerometry FitBit-like devices electroencephalography human brainwaves cardiopulmonary heart and lung) data derived from wearable sensors in human patients to predict sleep (e.g. sleep disorders like sleep apnea) and neurological (e.g. Alzheimers disease) outcomes.

Qualifications:

The candidate will have:

  • A university background in computer science
  • Strong programming
  • Previous experience in applying signal processing / time series data analysis / machine learning to human sleep biological signals collected from wearable devices.
