We have an opportunity for an Emergency Medical Assistant to join our team in Kawerau!
This is a 6 month fixed term position working a DDNN 4 x 4 roster.
In this role you will:
- Work alongside a qualified Ambulance Officer
- Drive the ambulance and assist with the delivery of patient care (under supervision)
- Ensure operational readiness of vehicle and equipment
- Complete other relevant administrative tasks.
Qualifications :
Ko wai koe - About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a minimum of a Hato Hone St John First Responder qualification or ATP of EMT
- a full NZ driving licence and either have held it for at least one year OR have completed an NZTA approved advanced driving course.
- Demonstrate behaviours that align with Hato Hone St Johns core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika) Side by Side (Tū Tahi) Straight Up (Mahi Pono) Make it better (Whakapai Ake) Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui).
