Job Summary

What the Agriculture Financial Analyst does 

Financial Modelling & Key Metric Analysis 

  • Build best practice large-scale agricultural investment models (Excel) including detailed analysis of property acquisitions divestments and portfolio performance 
  • Validate and interrogate modelling assumptions ensuring they are accurate and fit-for-purpose 
  • Assist with the development of various analytical tools and investment models 
  • Development of agricultural white papers supported by comprehensive research to understand trends and formulate reports 
  • Develop an understanding of key profit drivers in agriculture and assist with benchmarking analysis 

Management of acquisition process and relationships 

  • Support of the full acquisition cycle including due diligence financial modelling management of stakeholders and service providers and management of transition. 
  • Management of acquisition pipeline and prioritisation of assets 
  • Develop and assist acquisition reporting in accordance with investor and governance requirements 
  • Opportunity to lead and manage the drafting of Investment Memorandums 

Other 

  • Monitor strategic plan implementation effectiveness 
  • Develop and expand strong working relationships with internal team members farm staff external consultants and industry professionals

Qualifications :

About you  

  • Experience in a similar role such as Financial Analyst Agribusiness Analyst or Investment Analyst.  
  • If you bring experience within M&A accountancy firms or corporate advisory this would be a great opportunity for you.  
  • Strong investment analytics modelling and implementation skills 
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills and the ability to manipulate large data sets 
  • Understanding and experience in agriculture will be an advantage but not required. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to plan prioritise and organise work demands and deadlines 
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce detailed reports and documentation 
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and comfortably deal with change that comes with a growing business
