The Payroll & Benefits Administrator provides administrative support for payroll processing and employee benefits. This role assists with maintaining accurate payroll and benefits records responding to employee inquiries and supporting payroll tax and benefits operations to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Assist with payroll preparation and processing to ensure accurate and timely payroll
- Enter and maintain employee data in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and payroll systems
- Assist with payroll deductions such as benefits retirement plans and other authorized deductions
- Process employee direct deposit requests and updates
- Maintain payroll and tax records registers and related documentation
- Assist with payroll and tax reporting and reconciliation
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries and provide general payroll support
- Assist with employee benefit enrollment for new hires and benefit changes with existing team members
- Support benefits programs including medical dental vision retirement plans and other company benefits
- Assist with benefits invoice reconciliation and coverage
- Assist with benefits open enrollment activities and communications
- Maintain benefits information and recordkeeping in HRIS and benefit systems and ensure records are accurate
Qualifications :
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting Business Administration Human Resources or a related field preferred. High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years of experience in payroll accounting human resources or administrative support preferred. Internship or entry-level HR/payroll experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)
- Excellent judgement and ability to maintain strict confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
- High degree of accuracy attention to detail and ability to adapt to change and perform high-quality work in a high-volume fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational written verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation skills with clear communication and audience engagement.
