System Electrical Validation Engineer
Job Summary
The System Electrical Validation (SEV) Engineer plays a critical role in safeguarding product integrity by preventing electrical issues from reaching the company customers ensuring superior product quality and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the electrical validation of our products covering two main areas:
- Validate the signal integrity of the PCIe communication channel of our products within a system is healthy or has acceptable electrical margins.
- Validate our products comply with the PCI-Sig Industry Electrical Specifications.
- Do technical assessments of the validation results and present them with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Debug complex PCIe electrical issues.
- Interface with other company teams like Firmware Design Hardware Pre-Silicon Validation team etc. to solve issues or to improve SEV methodologies.
- Develop scripts and implement features of our current software internal tools used for validation.
Qualifications :
Required:
- Degree: B.S./M.S. in Electronic Engineering or any other related field that includes Electronics.
- Experience: B.S. and 3 years or M.S. and 1 years.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Exceptional team player with a strong collaborative mindset and a passion for knowledge sharing.
- Problem-Solving: must be able to analyze and solve complex issues applying judgment.
- Autonomy: with high proactivity regularly anticipating the next step.
- Leadership: Able to lead two or more team members to complete a task project or initiative.
- Electrical Knowledge: strong understanding of Analog and Digital circuits.
- Excellent understanding of Computer Architecture.
- Programing (Python): Comfortable with OOP associated Python libraries databases and version control.
- Basic OS (Linux Windows).
Preferred:
- Intermediate PCIE Protocol and Specification knowledge.
- Intermediate PCIE PHY knowledge.
- Transmission Lines: Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the different electromagnetic phenomena that affect the signal integrity such ISI Crosstalk Insertion Loss Reflection etc. and the mechanisms to compensate them.
- Analog and Digital Electronic. Comprehensive understanding of how circuits such as PLL CTLE DFE FIR etc. work.
- Lab Equipment: Use of lab equipment such as Oscilloscope JBERT Protocol Analyzer etc.
Additional Information :
Team members work onsite / in-office 3 days per week.
