2026 Commercial Student COOP

Purpose

As an AbbVie Intern the student participates in a paid program that is focused on providing students with robust projects and with the opportunity to work with energetic colleagues and inspirational leaders all while gaining world-class experience in one of the most dynamic organizations in the pharmaceutical industry. As an Intern the student will be located at one of our Operations sites at Barceloneta or at our Commercial Affiliate at San Juan Puerto Rico. - Commercial Affiliate: Marketing Medical Affairs Market Access Communications Finance Ethics and Compliance etc.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various projects as assigned.
• Participate in social/networking and learning & development activities.
• Willingness to do meaningful work that has a real impact on our business and patients worldwide.
• Present to the staff leaders managers and mentors the achievements of the assigned projects as well as the main learnings gained during the program.
• Provide assistance to operations in accordance with environmental management occupational health and safety (EH&S) systems and promote continuous improvement. Comply with all EHS procedures and policies including incident reporting use of PPE waste management and disposal and any other program applicable according to the position duties.

Significant Work Activities:

• Frequent to continuous computer usage (greater or equal to 50% of the workday) is required

Qualifications :

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate level program (Bachelors Degree) at an accredited university in any of the following fields: Business Administration (Marketing) Engineering (Chemical Mechanical or Industrial) Sciences (Chemistry Microbiology). 
• Masters Degree or PhD candidates will also be evaluated. 
• Strong academic performance. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (4.0 Scale) and extra-curricular achievements.
• Excellent problem-solving written and verbal skills (English and Spanish).
• Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Proven track record of teamwork adaptability innovation creativity initiative and integrity.
• Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship.
• For Student COOP:
  - Must be completing the last year of undergraduate students 
  - Must be enrolled in a COOP course for the semester.
  - Previous COOP or Internship experience is preferred.
• Knowledge/ experience in Project Management is highly desired. 

Time of the COOP: August 2026 to December 2026.

• The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time ofthis posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic locationand we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. 

• We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation holidays sick) medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.

• This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
