Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Durban. As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed to maintain efficient and organized operations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and productive work environment for our team. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and supervise a team of warehouse staff including scheduling training and performance evaluations - Oversee the receiving storing and shipping of goods ensuring accuracy and efficiency - Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy - Maintain a clean and organized warehouse adhering to safety and sanitation standards - Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues that may arise - Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain efficient warehouse operations - Utilize warehouse management systems to track and manage inventory and orders - Conduct regular audits to identify and address any discrepancies or areas for improvement - Train and mentor new employees to ensure they are familiar with warehouse processes and procedures - Communicate effectively with team members management and clients to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelors degree in business or related field preferred - Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory role - Strong knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures including inventory management and shipping/receiving - Excellent leadership and communication skills - Proficient in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities - Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills - Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
