Position Overview
Trinity Healthcare Talent Services is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) for a rehab-focused hospital in Highlands NC.
This role involves providing comprehensive rehabilitation services across multiple care settings including acute care swing beds skilled nursing and outpatient services. The Physical Therapist will focus on improving mobility restoring function and supporting patient recovery through individualized evidence-based treatment plans.
The therapist will work in a collaborative rehab team environment dedicated to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

Clinical Coverage Areas
Therapists will provide care across:
Acute and swing bed patients
Skilled nursing and long-term care residents
Outpatient rehabilitation services
Post-surgical and mobility-impaired patients
Stroke and rehabilitation-focused cases
Key Responsibilities
Perform physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans and plan of care
Deliver therapeutic exercises mobility training and rehabilitation interventions
Assist in care conferences and interdisciplinary rounds
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
Communicate with rehab team regarding patient progress and discharge planning
Utilize rehabilitation equipment in gym and patient care settings
Provide patient and caregiver education
Required Qualifications
Active North Carolina Physical Therapist License
CPR Certification
Minimum experience in hospital and/or nursing home setting
Strong clinical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
3 years of experience in a medical/rehab setting
Experience across multiple care levels (acute SNF outpatient)
Familiarity with Cerner or NetHealth systems
Scheduling & Assignment Details
40 hours guaranteed per week
Day Shift: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Schedule finalized during interview with Rehab Manager
Floating required across acute SNF and outpatient services
Important Notes
Patient ratio: 1:1 therapy care
Therapists may treat patients in rooms hallways outdoor spaces and rehab gyms
Access to multiple rehab gyms including nursing home facility
Facility is stroke-certified with a strong rehab focus
New rehab gym and outdoor therapy space under development
Compliance Requirements
Candidates must complete all onboarding and compliance requirements including:
Active state licensure verification
CPR certification
Skills checklist and competency validation
Completion of onboarding and orientation
