Job Summary

We are seeking an EHS Specialist to support a high-volume manufacturing facility by driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations. This role partners closely with plant leadership and operations to identify risks improve work practices and prevent incidents before they occur.

This is a highly visible floor-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments and wants to make a direct impact on employee safety and plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with plant leadership and operations teams to proactively identify hazards and reduce risk across the facility
  • Lead incident investigations perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to closure
  • Support and enhance site safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Conduct routine safety audits inspections and risk assessments within manufacturing areas
  • Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs for plant employees
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve safety education initiatives
  • Guide and support plant-wide incident reporting processes and safety documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve safe work practices and strengthen overall safety culture

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (assembly machining or similar)
  • Experience supporting or leading EHS / Safety programs within a plant setting
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety compliance requirements
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable working both on the production floor and in an office setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Bachelors degree in Safety Environmental Health or related field
  • Professional certifications such as CSP CIH or CHST (or working toward certification)
  • Experience in high-volume fast-paced manufacturing environments

Work Environment

  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor exposure
  • Regular interaction with production teams in active industrial settings
  • Use of PPE (safety glasses hearing protection etc.) required in designated areas
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
