What you will do
Under general direction manages the capacity and staffing of the Install Team leads the professional development and adherence to contract performance by using best business practices through effective management and mentoring of the operations team objectives and manages team efforts to achieve assigned compliance to the JCI Safety Program for employees and subcontractors. Hires retains performance manages and plans for career development of direct reports. Prepares and delivers clear performance expectations performance reviews and development plans for direct on span of control self performs project & construction management duties.

How you will do it

• Drives project excellence in all area teams.

• Act as the ultimate owner in your market for all things security installation by supporting your team our customers the Market General Manager and owning the results.

• Drives accountability for projects revenue and executed margin results by domain.

• Ensures safety integrity and ethics excellence in the area projects teams

• Drives forecasting and actualization of projects revenue and executed margin against forecast/plan across the area.

• Conducts on-site safety observations and coaching of team members and subcontractors.

• Participate in customer meetings to support sales and resolve customer escalations.

• Perform regular on-site quality inspections of work performed by our technicians and subcontractors and address substandard work execution through coaching and assigned training and development.

• Assures work force levels are appropriate across the area by trade by upward and downward adjustments monthly as needed.

• Assures installation operating cadence is consistent and functional in all local teams.

• Coaches and develops team members on all areas of performance.

• Collaborates with the regional and wider market teams to assure all projects are properly staffed and there is a seamless delivery across the area.

• Collaborates with Sales and Service leaders with the goal of operating as 1 team withing the market. The ability to form strong positive relationships with our counterparts as well as our customers will be necessary to be successful in this role.

• Pulls in SWAT/Subject Matter Experts for areas as needed based on identified weaknesses.

• Champions changes and Global JCI initiatives.

• Provides feedback to Leadership for market trends what is/isnt working well area needs and program deficiencies.

• Participates in both Customer accounts and large high priority opportunity pursuits by collaborating with Sales and the Market General Manager.

• Serves as an active member in the community.

• Broad knowledge of the security and life safety industry (experience in one business is a must multiple businesses is a plus).

What we look for

Required

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent work experience.

• Five or more years of progressively more responsible operations management experience in the Installation Industry including five or more years of direct management experience.

• High-level competence in written and verbal communication.

• Strong presentation skills and proficiency in speaking to large audiences.

• Able to lead and direct cross-functional and cross-business unit project teams to achieve business results.

• Ability to lead manage mentor and inspire others.

• Knowledge of multiple levels with the supply chain org.

• Polished presentation skills multi-faceted thinker and innovator.

• Strong ability to negotiate persuade and influence.

• Proficient in software scheduling tools and applications. High level project management process competencies.

• Strong proficiency in MS Office (excel word power point) Adobe Writer Visio MS Project basic windows environment and internet business application usage.

Preferred

• Ten or more years of progressively more responsible operations management experience in the Installation Industry including five or more years of direct management experience.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $107000- 161000(Salary to be determined by the education experienceknowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with marketdata.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflectsthe target compensation for this role.
