Job Summary
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal TIG Welder / Fitter with strong expertise in GTAW (TIG welding) and fitting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background working with sheet metal the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and a strong understanding of welding standards and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on sheet metal components

Read and interpret blueprints drawings and weld symbols
-
Fit and assemble parts according to specifications
-
Ensure welds meet required quality and industry standards
-
Inspect finished work for accuracy defects and compliance
-
Prepare materials clean weld surfaces and set up equipment
-
Maintain welding tools and equipment in good condition
-
Follow all safety procedures and shop standards

Work independently and meet production deadlines
Requirements:
-
Minimum 10 years of TIG (GTAW) welding experience

Strong sheet metal fitting and fabrication skills
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
-
Knowledge of welding standards and codes
-
High attention to detail and workmanship quality
-
Ability to work in an afternoon shift environment
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Experience with stainless steel and thin gauge materials
-
CWB certification (or equivalent) is an asset
-
Experience in custom fabrication or production environments
