Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Enterprise Data & Analytics team.

This role is central to the creation and provisioning of enterprise-wide data assets ensuring data protection security and compliance across global use cases.

You will be responsible for ingesting and provisioning data that powers critical operational processes and top-tier analytics initiatives.

The Mission: You will design develop and maintain scalable data pipelines within an AWS environment.

Your role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights while ensuring the highest standards of data quality and security.

You will collaborate with Data Scientists and Architects to support high-priority use cases automating data flows and optimizing the global data architecture.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar cloud-based data role.
Track Record: Proven ability to deliver high-quality data solutions within an Agile working model.

Experience building data pipeline using AWS Glue or Data
Pipeline or similar platforms.
Familiar with data store such as AWS S3 and AWS RDS or DynamoDB.
Experience and solid understanding of various software design patterns.
Experience preparing specifications from which programs will be written designed coded tested and debugged.
Strong organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineers are responsible for building and maintaining Big Data Pipelines using GROUP Data Platforms.
Data Engineers are custodians of data and must ensure that data is shared in line with the information classification requirements on a need-to-know basis.
Data Engineers are also expected to:
Stay up to date with the latest data engineering tools technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities
for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and reliability of data pipelines.
Explore and evaluate new data engineering approaches and technologies to drive innovation within the organisation.
Mentor train and upskill members in the team.
