Role Description: SQL Database & Microsoft Fabric Administrator Overview
We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA to provide ticket-based support for Azure SQL and Microsoft Fabric data environments. The role is responsible for responding to triaging and resolving database incidents and service requests within agreed SLAs.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor triage and resolve database support tickets (incidents service requests change requests)
- Administer and support Azure SQL Database Azure SQL Managed Instance and on-premises SQL Server
- Support Fabric workloads including Lakehouses Warehouses and Data Pipelines
- Perform routine DBA tasks including performance tuning index maintenance backup and restore patching and capacity monitoring
- Troubleshoot query performance issues blocking and deadlocks and connectivity issues
- Apply security best practices including RBAC access reviews and encryption configurations in Azure
- Provide clear ticket documentation and stakeholder updates
- Escalate complex issues and contribute to root cause analysis
- 3 years SQL Server DBA experience
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and/or Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse Warehouse Pipelines Shortcuts)
- Strong T-SQL skills execution plan analysis and performance tuning
- Experience with Azure Monitor Log Analytics or similar observability tools
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms (e.g. ServiceNow Jira)
- Strong written communication skills
- Microsoft certifications (DP-300 DP-600 or equivalent)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
- Knowledge of Power BI and integration with Fabric
