Hiring Administrator: Brian Haats
GENERAL DUTIES:
The Director of Human Resources-Licensed Staff assists the Human Resources Officer in planning developing directing monitoring and providing oversight for the day to day operational and fiscal functions of Licensed Staff services. These services include recruitment hiring compensation and evaluation and assisting with labor relations and the administration of collective bargaining agreements. The Director also oversees all Human Resources services related to District athletic coaches. The Director assists the Human Resources Officer and Director of Licensed Staff in guiding efforts to conceptualize define assess nurture and cultivate diverse hiring practices and promote equity as an institutional and educational value.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A valid State of Oregon Administrative License appropriate for the position
- A Masters Degree with preferred emphasis in Education
- The ability to follow oral and written instructions
- The ability to effectively work and communicate with students parents and school staff from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
- The ability to work harmoniously with others
- Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications including but not limited to email and systems applications
- The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
- Knowledge and experience in dealing with other cultures represented by the community
- Successful teaching and administrative experience combined with leadership skills and in-depth understanding of staff functions along with an understanding of the Districts goals and objectives
- Strong working knowledge of State and Federal laws related to employee relations combined with in-depth knowledge of District collective bargaining agreements
- Demonstrated successful experience in dealing with professional staff and parents
- The ability to work well in a team environment
- Minimum of three years of school administration experience
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with union partners
- Experience handling complaints and conducting investigations
- Ability to foster and maintain a positive organizational culture
- Experience in conflict resolution
