Lead with Purpose at Emory Hillandale
The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the Emory University School of Medicine seeks an accomplished interventional radiologist to serve asClinical Site Director of Interventional Radiology at Emory Hillandale Hospital.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to guide clinical excellence operational performance and programmatic growth within a dynamic community hospital setting that is fully integrated into the Emory academic health system.
Emory Hillandale Hospital serves a diverse and growing population in DeKalb County and the greater Atlanta region in addition to being one of the first Apple based hospitals in the world. The Site Director will play a pivotal role in advancing minimally invasive image-guided therapies while aligning local strategy with departmental and system-wide goals.
Position Overview
The Clinical Site Director will provideclinical operational and strategic leadershipfor interventional radiology services at Emory Hillandale Hospital.
This role includes:
- Oversight of daily IR clinical operations and physician coverage
- Development and expansion of service lines aligned with community needs
- Partnership with hospital leadership on quality safety and financial performance
- Mentorshipand professional development of IR faculty and staff
- Strengthening referral relationships and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Alignment of site operations with departmental standards and academic mission
The Site Director will collaborate closely with Division and Department leadership to ensure excellence in patient care quality metrics compliance and growth initiatives.
Clinical Scope
Interventional radiology services at Emory Hillandale include a broad range of image-guided procedures such as:
- Peripheral and central vascular interventions
- Dialysis access management
- Venous thromboembolic interventions
- Image-guided biopsies and drainages
- Oncology-related interventions
- Womens health procedures (including embolization therapies)
- Musculoskeletal intervention such as vertebral augmentation and bone ablation
The Site Director will evaluate opportunities to expand outpatient and ambulatory IR services to meet evolving community demand. The Site Director will spend approximately 25% of their clinical time at other Emory Healthcare sites including EUH EJCH ESJH EUHM/WEM EDH and Grady.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary IR clinical leader at Emory Hillandale
- Partner with hospital administration on budgeting capital planning and resource allocation
- Monitor quality outcomes patient experience metrics and operational efficiency
- Promote a culture of safety professionalism and accountability
- Facilitate integration with other Emory sites to ensure consistency of care delivery
- Represent IR in medical staff and hospital leadership forums
Academic Engagement
As a faculty member within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences the Clinical Site Director will:
- Participate in teaching activities with residents and fellows as appropriate
- Contribute to academic initiatives consistent with career goals
- Engage in scholarly or quality improvement efforts if desired
Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Interventional Radiology residency or fellowship
- ABR board-certified or board-eligible
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Georgia
- Demonstrated leadership experience in clinical operations or service line management
- Commitment to quality improvement and multidisciplinary collaboration
Prior experience in a community hospital setting and program development is preferred.

Additional Details
This position requires in-person clinical presence at Emory Hillandale Hospital. Remote work is not available for clinical duties.
