Position Summary
Bow Valley College is seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Lead Pipeline Management to join the Fund Development and Alumni Engagement (FDAE) team within the External Engagement portfolio. Reporting to the Manager Advancement this position plays a key role in strengthening the Colleges fundraising and alumni engagement efforts by leading the processes that identify track and advance relationships with donors prospects and leadership volunteers.
The Lead Pipeline Management is responsible for overseeing activities related to prospect identification donor intelligence and pipeline reporting utilizing a variety of research tools databases and online resources. The role works closely with fundraising and alumni engagement teams to develop prospect lists monitor relationship development and ensure prospects move strategically through the fundraising cycle.
In this role the successful candidate will lead the development and coordination of pipeline reporting and relationship phase management using tools such as Raisers Edge NXT and Power BI. They will coordinate regular pipeline management meetings develop and present reports and provide strategic insights that support the Colleges external relationships with donors and alumni. As a subject matter expert in the donor and alumni database the Lead will support team members through training documentation and ongoing guidance on system use and pipeline management processes.
Working collaboratively with the Lead Advancement Operations the role provides strategic data analysis and reporting to inform leadership on progress toward annual fundraising and engagement goals. The position also works cross-functionally across the College to support the integration and effective use of systems such as Dynamics 365 LiveAlumni and other related platforms.
This position plays an integral role in maintaining strong data governance and quality standards within the Raisers Edge NXT collaboration with the Manager Advancement and Lead Advancement Operations the Lead develops documentation policies and procedures that ensure accurate data entry and compliance with privacy and data management requirements. The role also supports ongoing system training and helps ensure the College is fully utilizing database capabilities to support fundraising and engagement objectives. Additionally the Lead contributes to the strategic alignment of data systems and processes across the institution supporting data flow between Raisers Edge NXT and other platforms and assisting with the use of engagement tools such as ClickDimensions.
The Lead Pipeline Management also supports the Colleges prospect research activities by collaborating with the Prospect Analyst to coordinate research requests conduct research as needed and identify strategic prospecting opportunities using internal data and external intelligence sources.
The successful candidate will bring strong analytical research and relationship management skills along with a collaborative approach to supporting the work of fundraisers and advancement professionals. They will serve as a knowledge expert within the FDAE team on pipeline management practices providing guidance and strategic advice that supports the teams ability to meet its annual goals. The role requires the ability to work effectively with colleagues across the College manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and translate complex information into meaningful insights that support decision-making and relationship-building efforts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in a related field and a minimum of two to three years of experience in a fundraising advancement research or data-focused environment preferably involving prospect management donor intelligence or pipeline reporting. Experience working with relational databases such as Raisers Edge NXT including structured data entry coding and record management is required. The candidate should also have demonstrated experience conducting Internet-based research using reputable sources coordinating multiple concurrent projects with recurring deadlines and working collaboratively with colleagues across departments. Strong interpersonal analytical and communication skills are essential. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold a university degree in Business Administration Communications Data or Information Studies Social Sciences or a related discipline. Experience in pipeline management donor intelligence fundraising analytics or due diligenceparticularly within the post-secondary or non-profit sectoris considered an asset. Familiarity with fundraising practices such as moves management and pipeline development as well as research platforms such as Kindsight (iWave) or CharityCAN is also beneficial.
Additional assets include experience interpreting or supporting Power BI dashboards developing training materials or user documentation and applying data-driven prospecting methodologies such as data mining and segmentation. Knowledge of data governance practices CRM systems and system integration processes along with the ability to exercise sound judgment discretion and high ethical standards will support success in this role.
