Job Summary
Shipyard Foreman
Qualifications:
- High School or GED diploma preferred.
- Previous experience in a foreman superintendent or similar role preferred.
- Minimum of five years of new construction shipyard experience preferred.
Valid State Drivers License.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes executes and adheres to the companys health safety and environmental program.
- Leads and directs crew on their respective tasks.
- Delegates projects to personnel for fabrication.
- Familiar with USCG ABS and other regulatory body requirements.
- Works with managers to assure work is consistent with bid procedures equipment and manpower.
- Responsible for keeping production on schedule and on budget while meeting quality requirements.
- Provides updates to project managers on project progress.
- Communicates to project manager any material and consumable shortages.
- Reads blueprints to determine what fabrication processes are required for projects.
- Communicate with employees to explain blueprints and assembly process.
- Redline drawings as needed for incorporation into as-built drawings.
- Inspects the quality of all fabrication work in progress and upon completion.
- Attend meetings and training as necessary.
- Works as a team member and leader.
- Performs other duties as required based on companys needs.
