Pearson Indias Apprenticeship Program provides graduates and early-career professionals with structured training hands-on experience and mentorship from industry experts. Through a blend of on-the-job learning and guided development apprentices build the professional and technical skills needed to succeed in a global organization.

About the Team

The DWS Operations Team is responsible for daytoday service delivery and operational excellence for Digital Workplace services across the organization. The team ensures that core productivity collaboration device endpoint and security services are stable secure compliant and continuously improving for all colleagues globally.

The team operates as the Level 3 operational backbone of DWS owning complex incidents service health automation vendor transitions and service maturity initiatives across multiple platforms like Microsoft 365 Intune Microsoft Defender Adobe Smartsheet etc.

About the Role

The DWS Operations Apprentice will support the Digital Workplace Services (DWS) Operations team in delivering reliable secure and efficient workplace technology services. This role provides hands-on exposure to IT operations endpoint and collaboration platforms incident management and service improvement practices while learning in a structured apprenticeship environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day IT operations activities across Digital Workplace Services including collaboration and endpoint platforms
  • Assist with incident request and change management activities using ServiceNow following ITIL practices
  • Help monitor service health perform basic troubleshooting and escalate issues as required
  • Support user onboarding/offboarding tasks access requests and device/application support activities
  • Assist in maintaining operational documentation and knowledge articles
  • Participate in service improvement and automation initiatives under guidance
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to ensure timely service delivery
  • Adhere to security compliance and operational standards defined by DWS Operations

Desirable Skills and Attributes

  • Basic understanding of IT operations and enterprise support environments (incidents requests changes
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services such as Outlook Teams OneDrive and SharePoint (user or academic exposure is sufficient)
  • Awareness of endpoint devices (Windows macOS) and common workplace applications
  • Basic knowledge or interest in IT service management (ITIL concepts) such as incident and request handling
  • Exposure to or willingness to learn ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools

Eligibility Criteria

  • Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Recent graduates or candidates with less than one year of experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Must meet requirements under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 and be registered on the NATS portal.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in India.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time apprenticeship from Monday to Friday approximately 40 hours per week. Some flexibility may be required to support meetings with global teams in different time zones.
