How youll contribute
A Central Supply Technician who excels in this role:
- Responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
- Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed.
- Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels.
- Receives shipments logs receipts enters data into the inventory system delivers items to departments or other facilities and reports/documents errors or damages to management.
- Answers the telephone receiving dock and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately.
- Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery.
- Processes outgoing mail.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital prefers applicants who have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:
- High School diploma preferred
- Critical thinking decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems.
- Effective English communication (read write speak and understand).
- Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
