Job Summary

IT Training & Curriculum Developer
Location: Austin TX (Hybrid Texas Residents Only)
Contract: 6 months (with potential extension)

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to design and develop impactful user-friendly curriculum and training programs. This role blends instructional design and technical writing to create engaging accessible content that supports IT certification initiatives and drives effective learning outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business English Education or a related field (or equivalent experience)
8 years of experience designing and delivering training curricula
5 years of technical writing and business documentation experience
Strong ability to simplify and communicate complex technical information
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook)
Experience developing content across multiple formats (ILT eLearning job aids video)
Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning concepts
Ability to adapt training for diverse technologies and audiences

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop IT training curricula including course outlines instructor-led materials job aids and multimedia content
Translate complex technical concepts systems and processes into clear user-friendly documentation and training materials
Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure accuracy and relevance of content
Evaluate and enhance materials for accessibility usability and overall learning effectiveness
Continuously improve training content based on feedback and evolving business needs
