Great Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to support our medical team elevate patient care and help shape a positive accountable and growth-driven culture.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position that blends clinical excellence with team development.
As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor you will:
Lead by example on the floor supporting patient care and workflow
Mentor and develop technicians and assistants
Partner closely with DVMs and hospital leadership
Help drive consistency in medical standards protocols and communication
Ensure a high level of efficiency accountability and team engagement
You will play a key role in bridging medicine operations and team culture.

What You Bring
5 years or more of veterinary technician experience
Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required
Strong technical skills across anesthesia surgery dentistry and diagnostics
Confidence in coaching feedback and team development
Excellent communication and client education skills
Ability to stay organized and lead in a fast-paced environment
High emotional intelligence professionalism and accountability
Preferred:
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT/LVT/RVT)
Degree in veterinary technology or related field
Key Responsibilities
Patient restraint and handling
Anesthesia administration and monitoring
Surgical and dental assistance
Laboratory and radiology procedures
Pharmacy and medication management
Medical record accuracy and compliance

Applicant Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong focus on client service and patient care
Knowledge of animal handling common veterinary drugs and clinical procedures
Demonstrated patience empathy and professionalism
High school diploma (required)
5 years of veterinary technician experience (required)
Degree in veterinary or related field (preferred)
Veterinary Technician Certification (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: up to $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
