    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    Employment shall be at the will of the Board of Education. The annual period of service shall be 225 days.

    PRIMARY FUNCTION:
    Supports the educational programs and services of the district by administering those phases of the personnel program which include data processing record keeping contracts compensation benefit programs and certifications.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

    • Communicates collaborates with colleagues supervisors and the public
    • Assist the Chief of Human Resources with administrative duties as assigned
    • Manages department budget purchase orders and expenditure reports
    • Gives information to callers or routes call to appropriate official
    • Type letters reports minutes and/or charts from notes verbal instruction or independent from knowledge of situation or project
    • Works with new employees to process tax forms I-9 criminal checks
    • Receives and responds to applicant letters of interest and application request
    • Process maintains and distributes employment applications
    • Maintains a list of interested applicants and send letters to unsuccessful applicants for each vacancy
    • Assists and maintains contact with all departments and schools in planning and anticipating personnel needs of the school program
    • Updates employee file to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses
    • Updates and maintains the district job descriptions as changes occur
    • Maintains confidential files including all district employee personnel and files; including electronic databases
    • May assist in meeting and/or candidate interview preparations; provides pre and post-meeting summaries reports or presentations as required
    • Compiles data from personnel and prepares reports
    • Assists the Chief of Human Resources with the submission of all district state and federal personnel reports
    • Participates in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to the assignment
    • Ensures adherence to good safety procedures
    • Maintain professionalism at all times as a representative of the district and the HR office

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: to perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree and three years of related work experience.

    PREFERRED: Bachelors Degree and 4 years of HR experience working in a central office for a board of education

    EVALUATION: Performance of this job shall be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the boards policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
